The Teledrift drift indicator measures deviation angles to
10.5 degrees and transmits data to surface using mud pulse
technology. Teledrift is a simple, rugged mechanical signalling instrument that can be quickly installed in your drillstring whilst making up the B.H.A. It provides a coontinuous check on hole deviation with a sensing and signalling tool contained in the bore of a special sub just above the drill bit. The tool generates signals in the form of pressure surges in the mud stream. These signals are received by a recorder situated near the driller's station. The recorder provides an individual, permanent chart of each deviation reading. |
